Violets - Prague (April 2004)

I went rockclimbing yesterday as is usual for me to do on the weekends. I think more time was spent gathering pinenuts than climbing, however. We discovered that the trees were yeilding up their fruit and so spent a little while searching the ground beneath them for the occasional nut. This was slow going, so being the innovative thinkers we were, and realizing that most of the nuts were still in the pinecones hanging on the trees, we resorted to violently shaking the trees and watching thousands upon thousands of pinenuts slowly spin to the ground. We collected almost a whole ziplock bag full of them, and I'm eating some of them now. I feel like a chipmunk.
