Gooseneck Barnacle - Crystal Cove State Park, California (May 2006)

I originally thought this was one of the most unusual aquatic plants I had ever seen. Now I know that's because it isn't a plant at all, but a barnacle. So, it's the most unusual barnacle I've ever seen. It had washed ashore in a pile of seaweed.
