Forlorn - Kutna Hora (Unknown Date 2001)

This photo was taken by my friend Gerald, but with my camera, so I'm posting it here.

This one's a surprise! I like it in black/white. (This doesn't mean that you're running out of pics, does it?)

Blessings -

At the rate I post them here, it would take years for me to run out of pics, but it's true that I am getting low on digitized photos. I'm going to do some hardcore scanning over the holiday season.

you could post a large version of your profile picture...

btw, I believe we were in Cesky Krumlov that day. I suppose it doesn't really matter, unless someone really wanted to get their own shot of the bench or wall.

I've already posted a large version of my profile pic.

I'm pretty sure, at least more sure than I was the Sv. Mikulas day was on the 5th of December (it's on the 6th for people who are keeping track), that we were standing around waiting to tour the treasury, or mint, or whatever that place was in Kutna Hora. I think there was a fountain behind the camera here and you took the shot in stealth with my long lens using my shoulder as a tripod.

Where would this be in Cesky Krumlov? It's entirely possible that my memory is failing me, but I've always had that version of the experience going through my head. I think it might be devastating to find out it was different.

Aren't memories fun? I associate this shot with one of the times (first time) we were in Cesky Krumlov, around the time we ate, or tried to eat at that bad pizza joint on the left as you walk down from Bozena's place toward the castle. At least in my collections, it was always with the pics from that trip.

I just heard about a pastor who came to a large church, and over some time the membership dwindled down to less than 50. Some people looked into the situation to see what was the matter, and they noticed that he ended every sermon by saying, "But what do I know..." I won't say that here.

Well, there's one way to find out which version is correct, and that is to look at the negatives to determine what was taken directly before and directly after this one. Unfortunately, those are located on the other side of the country from me now. I'll let you know the outcome of this sleuthing mission after Christmas.

Yes, we must know.

I suppose we could just call Tanya and ask her; perhaps she remembers.
