Spirit Bent / Not Yet Broken - Joshua Tree National Park (November 2006)

I like taking photos that have to be looked at closely to fully understand.  I even like taking photos that can be looked at closely and never be understood.  Those shots have artistic merit.  Otherwise, you might have a nice picture of a butterfly, but how many times can you look at it before you get tired of it? 

I believe the above photo is one that has to be looked at closely.
