Yucca and Tree - Joshua Tree National Park (Spring 2005)

Joshua Tree is the type of place where one could wander endlessly among the rocks and never be bored with it. That is, unless one considered wandering among rocks boring. There is always something new to discover around the next bend or under the next boulder. I've seen petroglyphs, ancient native calendars carved in the granite, and interesting bits of flora such as this ~5ft-tall yucca.

Sounds like a fun place to wander. I used to dislike yucca, but then I planted a few and watched them grow and maternal instincts must have kicked in or something, because I'm a big fan now.

I can't say that I have any maternal instincts, but I guess I cared enough about this yucca to take its picture.
